Thom Yorke Names Band “Atoms for Peace”, Announces US Dates
As you may remember from a few months ago, Thom Yorke decided to form a little supergroup featuring Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joey Waronker from Beck's band and Nigel Godrich from...well, being the dude that produced all those classic Radiohead records.
They played some mesmerizing shows in Los Angeles, announced that they would be playing at Cocahella and, for some reason, decided to bill themselves as Thom Yorke ????.
That was very curious. (And very Prince of them.) But this morning, Yorke announced the band's name: Atoms For Peace. Which sort of sounds like the name of an early '90s emo band. But hey, it is much better than a bunch of question marks.
In addition to the name change, they have also announced a handful of US dates. You can see those below:
